Overview

AutoVision^® is a web based fleet management software system that manages the entire life cycle of your vehicles, from the time of acquisition to final disposal. It is indispensable to any fleet manager looking to pair their GPS tracking system with a powerful fleet management software. AutoVision^® can keep track of your acquisition costs, work orders, parts inventory, warranty repairs, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules based on accurate odometer readings acquired from the telematics unit.

Background

AutoVision^® was developed by Autovision Wireless Inc internally and has been in use for over a decade.  It was designed with a diverse range of input from fleet managers with extensive experience managing large fleets. Currently, one of the largest private fleet in Canada uses AutoVision^® extensively. Both mechanics and managers use the tools in AutoVision^® for overseeing vehicle inventory levels, managing their part supplies, and creating work orders/purchase orders.

Modules

You can choose to use only those modules that are pertinent to your business, or you can leverage the value of the other modules, which includes service centers, roadside assistance, accounting functionality, and our telematics module. Whether you have your own mechanics, garages and fuel cards, or you simply prefer to use third parties, AutoVision^® can be tailored to suit your needs. Furthermore, AutoVision^® has several canned reports for management review. These include a high level Key Performance Indicator report that shows cost per km, fuel consumption, downtime, and overdue maintenance.

Graphical Reporting

There are 5 real-time graphical reports available: Idle time, Fleet Utilization, After hours, Vehicle Status, and Stop & Go.
 

1. Idle Time report shows vehicles and their drivers who are idling for a percentage of time. For example, the user can specify to see all vehicles that have idled for more than 60% of the total engine run time over any given period of time.
2. After Hours report shows vehicles that have been in use beyond a normal work day. For example, a user can specify seeing all vehicles that have been running between 11:00pm and 5:00am over any given number of days up to a month.
3. Vehicle Status report shows the daily condition of the telematic device in the vehicle. If the device is functioning properly, it shows as green. If it is un-powered, it shows up in red, indicating a need to take action. Other colours indicate if the GPS antenna is shielded or malfunctioning and therefore not receiving location information from the GPS satellites.
4. Fleet Utilization reports shows what vehicles were in use during the day in 15 minute segments. It also shows a pie chart of what percentage of the total fleet was in use over the course of the day.
5. Stop & Go report summarizes the departure and arrival information of your fleet
